FL-SPRING & FL-BOOST: Early Selection for Students Entering in April 2026

Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology was selected for the “Support for Pioneering Research Initiated by the Next Generation (SPRING)“ and “Next Generation AI Human Resource Development Program ” (BOOST) those are publicly offered by the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST).　Please see the details about those programs through here.

 

By providing research grants and research funding to doctoral students selected for this program, we will prepare an environment where they can focus on their research activities, and we will cultivate science and technology-based advanced innovation leaders who can contribute to society by acquiring cutting-edge research skills from a new perspective that is different from the conventional one, with an overarching perspective based on entrepreneurship. Doctoral students who are accepted into this program will be required to fulfill certain obligations as FLOuRISH Fellows, such as participating in educational programs and studying abroad, in order to become advanced innovation leaders in the sciences. Please apply after understanding the aim of the human resources to be developed in this program and the obligations to be fulfilled.

Application deadline: 12:00 noon, Wednesday, January 15, 2025
First-round screening: Wednesday, January 15, 2025 – Wednesday, January 29, 2025
Notification of first-round screening results: Monday, February 3, 2025 (scheduled)
Second-round screening (interview): Monday, February 17
Notification of successful applicants: late February (scheduled)
